Session Overview:

Dr. Wüst’s presentation, titled ‘Skeletal Muscle Abnormalities Worsen After Post-Exertional Malaise in Long COVID’ will provide new insights into the pathophysiology of post-exertional malaise in patients with long COVID. Specifically, he will discuss skeletal muscle alterations that help to explain the reduced exercise capacity, and other abnormalities that are linked to the development of post-exertional malaise.

 

Dr. Nieuwlaat’s presentation on ‘Canadian Guidelines for Post COVID-19 Condition (CAN-PCC): project design and update’ will then cover the overall CAN-PCC project design, including guideline development, knowledge mobilization and evaluation, as well as progress to date and next steps.
