2nd Annual Canadian Long COVID Symposium 2024
Call for Abstracts

Dear Long COVID Web members,

​

We are delighted to announce that the abstract submission for the 2nd Canadian Symposium on Long COVID is now open!

​

The symposium will bring together people with lived experience of Long COVID, policymakers, clinicians, trainees, researchers and others to discuss the latest innovations and scientific developments in Long COVID. Hosted by the University of Alberta, University of Calgary, Alberta Health Services, and Long COVID Web, this event is scheduled to take place in person in Edmonton on October 3-4, 2024.

We invite you to contribute to this important conversation by providing valuable insight into emerging scientific and clinical advancements happening in Long COVID, and you could have the opportunity to: 

  • Share your findings with colleagues, clinicians, researchers and people with lived experience. 

  • Collaborate and network with other professionals in the field.

  • Be considered for trainee awards for outstanding scientific research. (See awards section below)

 

Instructions:

  • Abstracts must include the following headings: Background, Objectives, Methods, Results, Conclusions

  • Maximum 250 words

  • Particular attention is to be paid to those relating to the conference theme of community, collaboration and inclusivity.

  • All abstracts will be peer-reviewed to determine scientific merit and eligibility.

 

Trainee Abstract Awards:

  • Abstracts will be ranked, and awards will be provided to trainees with the highest scores.

  • Top abstract awards: first place $500, second place $350, and third place $200; official conference certificate of achievement will be awarded for the top 10 abstracts.
